We welcome internship applications for a minimum duration of 2 months. During a typical two-month internship you will have extensive work and training experience. Internship positions are designed for students looking for a placement required by their tourism boarding school. Please note that we only take candidates into consideration who are able to get support from a European Community program such as Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci or Comenius

Our Internship Programme

Internship in the Operations Team

Each intern is assigned to a specific team that takes care of a certain clientele. As team assistants interns support 'their team' in all areas of operations. You would assist with research for special enquiries, liaising with suppliers, running reports in our reservation system, dealing with amendments in bookings, generating travel documents and helping with general administration. A highly accurate working style and good organisational skills are necessary for this position.

  • You send out requests and monitor the responses
  • You also negotiate rates
  • Send out confirmations
  • Book accommodation on option
  • Extend cancellation deadlines and administer the allocation chart
  • Would edit newsletters, prepare mailings and press articles
  • Help organise familiarisation trips and trade fairs
  • Assist in the production of our annual brochure and in the organisation of special events. An excellent command of the German written language is essential for this role
  • You will also have the opportunity to cover all aspects of your course work evaluation.

Starting date: You any start your training any time of year proving we have the space
Minimum duration: You will need to stay a minimum of 2 months
Salary: Unpaid internship

Required skills for all positions

These hostel are ideals if you want to meet new people and be closed of the company! You won’t need to use the transport.

Travelling in London

Transport for London

For the transport in London, you can use the TubeTube or the Bus.
The daily limit is £6.40 between Zone 1 and Zone 2 for the tube and £4.50 for the bus.
That mean you can’t use more than this prices per day for the transport.

Oyster card

To travel into London, you need an Oyster card.
In fact, you can no longer use cash to pay for your Bus fare. You can use Oyster or an contactless payment card to pay as you go, a Travelcard or a Bus & Tram Pass. A single adult fare is £1.50 with Oyster or a contactless payment card.

Food & Places to eat

Food

You will find a lot of places to eat in London during your break. Around we have, KFC, Macdonald, TASCO, Sainsbury, Subway, Royal Food and Wines and more restaurants.

Places

When the weather is bad, you can go and eat on the Whiteleys Mall in Bayswater. You will find a big space where you can seat and eat.
Thereafter, if the weather is very nice, you can go to Hyde Park which is only 5 minutes walking from the company and enjoy the sun!

Working at Interopa has really been a wonderful experience for me. This internship gave me the opportunity to use English as a true professional, but also enjoy discovering London touristic activities through my work.
