The Yorkshire Dales combine some of England’s most dramatic countryside with a road network that, unlike parts of the Lake District, handles coach groups comfortably. For operators building a walking-focused itinerary, that combination is difficult to find elsewhere in the country.

England’s first national park remains one of its most underused group destinations, largely because operators default to better-known countryside regions further south. For groups within reach of the Midlands or North, the Peak District offers strong scenery without the longer travel times of the Lakes or Highlands.
