UK and Ireland Inbound DMC and Tour Operator
Careers at Interopa Holidays Ltd
Join our London team and build your career in international travel with a company that has been welcoming visitors to Britain and Ireland since 1974.
Bring your language, your curiosity and your ambition. We will introduce you to the industry.
Work across languages, cultures and client markets.
Build first hand knowledge of destinations, hotels, venues and suppliers.
Take on more as your knowledge and confidence develop.
At Interopa, you are close to the whole journey: the client, the destination, the suppliers and the decisions that bring everything together. That breadth gives you the opportunity to build knowledge, judgement and relationships across the travel industry.
Your client language with overseas partners, English with suppliers across Britain and Ireland.
First hand product knowledge through site inspections, supplier events and familiarisation trips.
Help create programmes that bring international groups, businesses and sports organisations to Britain and Ireland.
As your knowledge develops, so does the complexity of the work entrusted to you.
Our Chilworth Street office is moments from Paddington and Hyde Park, placing you in the heart of one of the great travel destinations of the world.
Our own know how in contracting, costing, itinerary design, supplier management and operations.
Developed in house through decades of commercial experience.
Proposals written in each client language, to the Interopa standard.
Hotels, coaches, guides and venues, contracted directly.
Each booking run as a project by one colleague, in the entrepreneurial spirit the company was built on.
Our systems. Tourplan for bookings, Outlook for every client and supplier conversation, the wider Microsoft 365 suite, and AI to support research and drafting.
You manage each booking from request to invoice in Tourplan and Outlook: proposals, supplier bookings, rooming lists, vouchers and invoicing. You meet and support clients when they are in the UK, and attend familiarisation trips, site inspections and supplier events to know what we sell.
Operational precision. Coordinate multiple live groups while keeping timings, reservations, documentation and costing aligned.
A client facing role. You prospect new clients, present Interopa, sell our partnership and maintain the commercial relationship with each client.
Commercial relationships. You are the link between our clients and our operations team.
Venues, hotel blocks, transfers, dinners and activities for meetings, incentives, conferences and events.
The whole trip. You understand how a group is built, because that is what the numbers describe.
A relatively flat structure. You join a market group of colleagues sharing your language and client market, reporting to the Head of Operations.
Decisions are made close to the work, and senior colleagues are within easy reach.
Training in working hours, alongside experienced colleagues.
Taught in house: how a group is contracted, costed and operated.
For operations and sales roles: regular costing exercises using realistic hotel rates and booking scenarios.
System training, with day to day support from your team leader, who assigns your first bookings.
A named colleague is available throughout your first weeks for practical questions and guidance.
Your first bookings are student and adult groups, FIT and group reservations, with responsibility increasing as you demonstrate knowledge and accuracy.
Industry events and exhibitions, where opportunities allow.
Hotels and venues, seen in person.
Team away days and company events, where arranged.
Industry events and exhibitions, where opportunities allow.
You will know what is expected, what good performance looks like and where your priorities sit.
Professional and respectful behaviour at every level.
Check the details before they become problems.
Colleagues also have an alternative contact outside their reporting line for any workplace question or concern.
As your expertise deepens, so does the work entrusted to you.
Destinations, suppliers, systems and client markets.
